- Sunday night’s Mad Men (Episode 10: The Inheritance) was indescribably good. Easily in the conversation for the Top 5 Mad Men/Sopranos/Six Feet Under episodes of all time. Wow.

Side Note: I could argue ‘til my death that Betty’s ailing father was deliberately cast to look just like John McCain. This isn’t open for discussion. A brilliant [if not maybe a tad sinister] play by Weiner, Bernstein & Co. Perhaps this fact has been broached on the web somehwere but I havent checked/seen anything.

i still don’t get what the fuck these conventions are for. i don’t think i ever will. (Side Note: I threw the pigskin with ol’ Bubba and Jeffrey back in the halcyon days of ‘92. Chelsea was there in a tye-dyed t-shirt. It was sweet.)

This song is part Cocktail (1988) and North Shore (1987), which seem to have occured in the same summer of my youth; year apartness notwithstanding. I’m riding a Morey Boogie and shredding with a shark-tooth necklace. The coolest Billabong shorts to ever exist are in play (image could not be located). Bill could very well have been mowing lawns (in Chevy Chase, MD?) at the time but he has undoubtedly given me a remembrance of times more ________, less ___________.

It could be I’m nostalgic for the summers of my youth. It could also be I’m frightened by the arrival of memories as such.
